My name is Rod Mock, I am the youth Pastor of Thrive Youth! i just got back form our redneck Christmas party! What a blast! Although we had only a portion of our group, we ALWAYS seem to have fun!! We ended up going to McDonald's all dressed like hunters or truckers or one dressed like a Viet Nam vet with an American flag and an American flag hat!! Our Youth Thrive (http://www.thriveonlline.org) (http://www.thrivespace.ning.com) is a vital, growing awesome group of about 40 teens in Apopka FL @ Victory Church in Apopka. (http://www.victorychurch.cc) i have been the youth pastor there since 1995 where we started with only 5 boys and have seen our group grow to over 80 at times! God has been so wonderful to us! We are now in a rebuilding mode getting back to 80 or more will mean a lot of work but it is well worth it!! I am not all about numbers but more numbers means more youth which means more kids know Jesus! We are not teh largest group in the world but we have so much to offer! Live Praise and Worship, Gereat games and contests, Awesome, life changing preaching and teaching & really really great people!

- My name is Rod Mock, I have been a youth pastor/leader for over 20 years now & I still love it!! I cannot believe it has been this long but it has! I was born in Edmonton, Canada in November 1969. I found Jesus at the age of 8 and have been serving him ever since! I found out that I had a call at the age of 18, It was then that God spoke to my heart and said it's now or never! I made a decision that night to go to Bible school and then from there found out that I had a love and a passion for teenagers! I started out with real responsibility in Calgary. Then it was back to Edmonton where I started my first youth group at Living word. I stayed there until I got married to my Beautiful American wife Stacy. We Moved to Orlando FL in 1995 where I have been the youth guy to this day! We now have a wonderful 4 year old son named Preston who is an incredible joy to us! I love what God has done in me and through me these years. In Canada I have put together and hosted very large conventions, camps and ski trips, here in Orlando have done the same as well as been a speaker at national youth conventions and camps!
